Installation

FPsim requires a working Python environment (Python 3.10 or later).

Install from PyPI

For most users, install the latest release with:

pip install fpsim

You should then be able to import FPsim:

python -c "import fpsim as fp; print(fp.__version__)"

Install from source

To modify FPsim, or to work from the development version, clone the repository and install it in editable mode:

git clone https://github.com/fpsim/fpsim.git
cd fpsim
pip install -e .

To run the tests and build the documentation as well, install the development extras:

pip install -e .[dev]
